A-380 Challenge

All airplanes are cool, because they are airplanes.

Still there are some that are blessed with classic and beautiful lines. For Example: B-707, B-727, B-757, B-747, A-330, A-340-600, DC-3, DC-6, D-8, L-1049, B-58, F-104 etc.

Sadly, IMHO the A-380 is not blessed with appealing lines. I've yet to see the A-380 shot at appealing angle, if there is one.

So here's the challenge: If you know of an image of the A-380 that has been shot at a pleasing angle, post it here and we'll let everyone comment on it.

This is not a scientific poll, I just want to see if there is anyone that thinks that the A-380 is anything but ugly. I appreciate the technological achievement that the A-380 represents. Still, common on Airbus, that's the best face you can give her? Next time, call the design geniuses at Apple Computer - they can make anything look good.

I love the A380 and I have seen angles where she looks amazing.

I've been lucky enough to fly on all the current A380 operators, whilst not a 'pretty' bird, there sure is something special about here, I love her!

Yep, love is blind. But we're talking about beauty here. I'm still waiting for a beautiful shot of her.

I am a firm believer that the A380 is one of the most fugly planes to ever hit the sky, but looking at this shot made me know that the A380 at least has SOME good looking angles.

Concorde had the most beautiful line from every angle you would look at her.
Her beauty will be eternally unsurpassed. She is the most beautiful passenger transport airplane ever.

The A380 is a Big massive plane with massive wing span and a Big body. A totally different concept. Aesthetically it may not be the most beautiful aircraft but they make up for it with the flying comfort and noise reduction inside the cabin.

Pics I took at the Paris Air Show. I was at every Paris Air Show to see her flying, the same as I was at every Paris Air Show where Concordes were flying.

My old friend F-WWOW. She is the orignal - and my most favourite of all A380s.

The A380 has definitely got something...

There was a better way to fly it was called Concorde

Certainly, she is the most beautiful thing to ever grace the skies.

Quoting KPDX (Reply 5):

I was a firm believer that A380 was ugly at every angle but that is quite a flattering angle.

Good job guys! I have to say that I saw at least 3 pics that show that the A-380 does have some pleasing lines.

Quoting KPDX (Reply 5):

That indeed is a good shot and a very nice angle on the big girl.

Well done SSC, I like the Singapore A-380 in a bank and I especially like the Air France A-380 shot as she is departing. Seems that some of her better angles are from the rear, just like some girls we know!
