Delta Flight 215 Question?

I checked Delta Flight 215 from DKR-JFK because my friend is booked on the Flight. I read that it says DKR-SJU did they change the route because of the Volcano activity in iceland?

Looks like a technical stop in SJU-is a 757 so probably had to stop for fuel due headwinds
