Hi to you all!

Need some help from our Mexican community! I am looking for flights into Cozumel airport and found http://www.mayair.com.mx/ .

Problem is, booking engine and their "contact-us" button are not working... Are they still alive and trading? Whats their current fleet? Are they reliable? And most important: does anyone has got a valid e-mail addresss, as I am not using twitter?

THX for any help in advance...

I don't know if they are still in business... but why would you want to fly from Cancún to Cozumel? If you are arriving from Germany, you can connect in the USA and fly straight into CZM via AA, CO or DL. If you are connecting in México then there are flights straight into CZM and if you are taking a charter flight into CUN then buy a transfer to Playa del Carmen and take the Ferry into CZM. If these options don't work... then I'd contact them directly.

I hope this info helps! Enjoy the Riviera Maya

There is currently no scheduled airline service between Cancun and Cozumel. References to this previous service simply now note it is "suspended."
As danild suggested, if you are landing in Cancun, you can transfer by mini-van or bus service directly from the airport to Playa del Carmen - 55 minutes away, costs about $5 USD - and then take the high speed ferry between Playa and Cozumel. Ferry is a 45 minute ride and costs range to about $12 USD. No advance ticket purchases are necessary for the bus or ferry; however, factor in your arrival time to allow for this same-day transfer to Cozumel. Point is....don't show up in Playa at 9pm expecting a ferry to run over to Cozumel.
Access "google.com" and type in "Bus and Ferry service Cancun to Cozumel" and several links will provide you useful information. You can also type in "Airline service between Cancun and Cozumel" and it again will list various links on how to get there since the airline service shows suspended.
If you need any additional information, send me a PM or note on this forum and I'll be happy to help you further. This ground transfer to Cozumel is relatively easy, nice ride on the bus to Playa and fun ride on the twin-hull catamaran ferry to Cozumel. Playa del Carmen is my favorite of these three cities and more laid back and less touristy so consider coming back to spend the day after you're settled in Cozumel.
I hope this info is helpful,
Thomas

Some news and more problems...

It would be great to fly their SHORTS 360's...

I contacted a German travel agency, asking for flights- and they told me, that AEROMEXICO is flying with SHORTS 360's between Cancun to COZUMEL... and voila, according to their web-page:

Cancun (CUN) to Cozumel (CZM) - AM9715
Class (K) Mayair - Nonstop - Shorts SD.360

I am now totally confused...

debonair:
My apologies for what turned out to be wrong information about flying between Cancun and Cozumel.
The reference to service being "suspended" applied to the original service operated by Mexicana, or one of their commuter affiliates. We subsequently found the service in our GDS as operated by MayAir as a code-share/Aeromexico Connect service. AM apparently took over the route when MX cancelled the service. I'm sorry I cannot explain the internet reference to "air service is suspended' which resulted in my answer. I took it one step further and called AM to verify the service exists and operates daily. The agent was very pleasant, referenced people only fly as a connection off AM flights to CUN and when questioned if they were aware of reliability or operational issues, the agent commented "Senor, some flights do not operate." That can be a simple reference to an occasional cancellation or delay as I suspect this agent may not have daily contact with these flights or operations so I wouldn't be overly concerned as to reliability. When I asked him if he would fly on them he remarked "But yes of course."
Flights are scheduled daily, but fluctuate by day-of-week frequency. Aircraft are Shorts 360 or Dornier DO228's. We priced a one-way fare of $84.36 w/taxes USD and that fare was matched on the AM website. The flights should afford a nice view of the islands/beaches and ocean - might be a bit bumpy due to high temperatures in summer - but a fun ride on either airplane with their high wings. I recommend you book on the AM website and use a credit card for payment; if you encounter any operational or cancellation issues and don't fly, you can dispute the charge with your credit card company.
My apologies again for the confusion about the flights, and I hope you'll let us know what your final arrangements are to/from Cancun. I was just there last month.....had a great time in CZM and Playa. Good Luck with your trip!

Thank you Thomas...

As I will stay nearly 2 weeks in CUN, I will just show up at the airport and ask for a free seat- what do you think?

7M is offering the flight for as little as 70$ ow/all in. BTW. there are no 7M SD360 pics on the web from this year- very strange...

Great idea for a day trip.....try for a free seat. Always worth asking; otherwise budget for a ticket just in case. Once in Cozumel, definitely stop at the Primera Restaurant and Bar in downtown....near the city square, and enjoy a cold Sol....a Mexican beer. Lighter than the German versions you're accustomed to, but a great taste and refreshing on a hot day! If you can fit it in, the high-speed ferry to Playa del Carmen is nearby the restaurant or consider a separate day trip from Cancun by bus to Playa. Enjoy lunch at Carlos and Charlie's on the ferry pier in Playa.....sit at the bar overlooking the water. Fun place, great music, and safe. I think you'll enjoy the laid-back atmosphere in Playa del Carmen more than in Cancun or Cozumel, but otherwise, just enjoy every day. Turquoise water, tropical beaches, good food and beautiful (some) people!
Its hot and steamy, you're on holiday so one way or the other (throw in a plane ride) as an airline employee you'll have a great time. And behave........(a little bit).
