I've been doing alot of flying of both airlines between BOS-LAX and LAX-BOS. I myself prefer jetblue, mainly do to (IMO) a more comfortable seat, better seat pitch, and, working satellite tv, a feature that is often lacking on VX. what are your opinions on this competition?
Jetblue: The official airline of Springfield! And Eventually: The official airline of Quahog, RI

I'd opt for VX due to a great first class offering
But in econ, yes JetBlue does have a solid product
From the desert to the sea, to all of Southern California

JetBlue has better seats and more legroom. I think VX has the better IFE and overall appearance, like fancy check-in counters, mood lighting, etc. I think service is better on VX (in my experience) I had bad experience with ground crew in JFK (new yorkers ) But overall, I like VX better, but it doesn't mean that I don't love B6.

Oh the BOS-LAX/LGB route, im a student at Clark in Worcester and I fly this route once a year. I usually fly to Florida a whole bunch more (its where i live).
I use to solely fly jetBlue for the entire year and a half from 2008-Christmas of this year. I flew about 6 trips up and down on the old program with one or two left and right flights. I never got an award and actually had to buy points (when they were giving an extra 50 percent away) to get my award flight. I still have a one way pass to use by November.
I absolutely enjoy jetting with jetBlue but I had to switch to DL in order to get more benefits, a first class, upgrades when available and more flight times and choices in aircraft although that wasnt always the issue.
jetblue has a very very good model, the transcon redeye is very good with their drink, snack and hot towel service and their seats are nice and comfortable. Actually VX has a less legroom. The entertainment is the same stuff you watch on the tv but during redeyes you dont really have to much to watch at night while VX does have pre recorded stuff.
You also dont get to many free snacks on VX. But ive never flown them. Im my experience, more legroom and (on their newer planes) little wings on the headrest make for a comfortable flight. LGB airport is a nice airport to go in and out of as well.
Im not sure how good the new true blue program is now nor do i know of anything with VX program but I hope whatever i said helped?
