Hello everyone, I'm travelling with TG in J class this coming June so I'd like to find out if I can find out if my A330-300 flight is in the old or new config? I heard the ones in the old config has PTVs in J too, but non-AVOD? I want to see if it will be worth it to change my return flight from A346 to A333. Thanks in advance!

AFAIK Thai is using the code "333" on the older A330's and "330" on the newer ones- so check out the timetable! But beware, TG is famous for changeing their a/c last-minute.
Btw. I flew the A346 and I would take it any time again (over any A330).

I just checked flights between SIN and BKK on June 5th.
The early morning dep. are scheduled in the system as "A330-300" (so expect old interios); but the last service of the day is operated by an "A330" (so you can expect new interior). But as I said before, TG is famous for swapping a/c!

Alright, I just checked my booking. It seems that I'll be on the old interior aircraft, boo! Fortunately it's just a 2h flight from SIN-BKK so non-AVOD is fine. However the flight from PVG-BKK on 25th June also shows an A330-300, I guess it'll be the old interiors too.
Btw, you were pretty accurate. I'm taking the morning flight to BKK (TG402). Hehe.

Quoting debonair (Reply 4): Yeap, thats true... But PVG will be served on 25th of june in the evening with an A346! Worth changeing?
Yeah, I was wondering if it's worth changing. My flight now is as follows
12 June 2010
SIN-BKK TG402 A330-300
BKK-PVG TG664 A340-600
25 June 2010
PVG-BKK TG665 A340-600
26 June 2010
BKK-SIN TG403 B777-200ER
I have an 11 hour layover between TG665 and TG403, so I was wondering if I should change to a later flight operated by the A330 from PVG-BKK with just 2 or 3 hours of transfer in BKK. You know, I do not want to stay in BKK for too long because of the ongoing riots and in case the airport gets seized again...

...good idea! The lounges are often very crowded; not nice to stay!
