Hi guys I am flying on KU next month from LHR to JFK in Business Class. I know that their B772 has a old style seat but I was wondering if anyone has flown with them and also where can I get some pictures of the cabin as I can't seem to find this information anywhere.

''Business class JFK to Heathrow London. Business class on B777 was like business class in the 1970's. To top everything Kuwait airways lost our checked luggage - it's been 12 days and Kuwait Airways customer service is the poorest I have come across - when I ring them the person answering the phone on the other end thinks that it's our fault that the luggage has gone missing. ''

Thanks for that Phil. By the looks of it, the 777 Business Class seats looks like standard recline ones. I'm not to fussed I guess as long as the IFE works as its only a short 7 hour flight! Plus considering the ticket only cost £745 (a complete bargain) compared to BA and VS.
I know the products on the latter ones are much better hence the much higher price, but I'm more than happy to give it a try.

Thanks akhmad. I'm looking forward to writing this TR especially as their haven't been that many long haul KU TR's. Also keeping in mind that my last one got cancelled as the volcanic ash cloud made me cancel my SQ flight to MUC!

I wonder how KU even survives with this, appearently, very bad C-class product - given its neigbours TK, RJ, EY, EK, GF, QR, etc. Aren't they just crushed by the competition? How come their standards are so poor compared to all those other great airlines in the region?

Cheers Mark, I actually want to go now as I can't wait until the end of June but so be it! Quite interested to see how dated their J class is. But this is what I love about flying; trying new airlines and getting new experiences!

I kept thinking about this as well. AI stopped this sector due to the competition with airlines like AA, BA and VS. I'm pretty sure that KU used to fly this route daily however now they have cut down to 3 weekly. The price might reflect the loads as they might be trying to attract people with the very low prices. Only time will tell.
I find it quite odd that their standards compared to the other airlines in the region is so poor. You would wonder how they survive but there must something special ticking for them to stay in business.

For that price Id fly it myself , for such a short flight T/A you cant go wrong. I flew KU years back on a B747 in F class LHR-JFK and back in J class. I actually had great flights. That was before they declined but chances are you will have a fun trip. I cant wait to see the TR also.

Simply put, the KU long haul premium product is crap.
I know folks that do work in Kuwait and go out of their way to even double connect to avoid segments on KU.

Government hand outs -- KU was been a long time serious loss making venture.
Parliament has long been toying with privatization of the carrier.

Quoting oa260 (Reply 12): When I flew them they had a menu of ''Mocktails'' was non alcoholic cocktails.
Well if that's the case then I'm not too fussed as I can get a few drinks before boarding in the lounge. Which reminds, does anyone know which lounge KU uses at both the airports especially after KU moved to T4 at LHR?

Wow if anything, that makes me want to try them out even more?! LOL! Something off the beaten track as far as I am concerned.

Quoting KU747 (Reply 14): Why on earth you want to fly KU??? Price??
Well paying £745 for a Business Class return to New York is why!
Quoting KU747 (Reply 14): Let me tell you what KU price will get you:
- Bad seats. (out dated)
- Bad service.
- IFE out of order all the time.
- Late departure.
- Lost luggage.
Be that as it may, I have experienced all of these thing when travelling with AI and BG in the past, so I'm not phased. Plus as I said, its not that long a flight.

Don't forget that they now operate from T4 at Heathrow, so I'm possibly thinking they might share with Etihad or if not then the Holideck Lounge which has been refurbished

Sandeep, if I were you, I would just let the experience come, get the feeling of it and sharing it with my fellow A.netters afterwards. Have a nice flight!

Very well said akhmad. I shall not say anything else and will make everyone wait until the TR happens.
