I have family that is traveling tomorrow on US flight 700 from PHL to FRA. They are then connecting on to LH flight 3882 to MXP. They are wondering whether or not they will have to get their bags in FRA and check them in again to MXP, or if they will be checked through at PHL.

Thanks in advance!

US should check the bags through to MXP. It's standard practice and with both being *A carriers should be a smooth process. I always look at the bags to see if the proper final destination is reflected on the tag, but I'm an airline weenie that knows my codes.

I want to live in an old and converted 727...
