I have LAX-CLT and CLT-LAX booked in F for July, and out of sheer curiosity (and because LAX-CLT is a redeye) I am wondering what kind of F seating I can expect. I have had 4 F segments on US 321s in the last few months, one was the "older" (I guess) blue and gray seats withoutheadrests, like this:
On the other three, I had the new 321s with the blue/gray seats and headrests (this is the a/c with the new LED lighting).
My dad flew back in F from BOS yesterday on a 320 and described something that looked more like this:
Obviously no one can guarantee one specific seat or aircraft, but I am just curious as to what F seat is most common among US aircraft and specifically the 321s. Is there a still a big difference between East and West or have they standardized more? The newer 321s have been flown by CLT based crews every time I have been on them so I'm assuming they're East aircraft, do they tend to see CLT-LAX often?
