I will be in the San Francisco area for a few days in July and was wondering if anybody knew of some aviation related things to do like any museums or such, I'm open to any ideas. Also which, if any, airport hotel has the best view of SFO, or you would otherwise recommend.

A few years ago I tried going to the Western Aerospace museum at OAK, but they were closed (on Mon and Tues). It looked like they had a Sunderland flying boat on display outside. There's also the U.S.S. Hornet that's docked at the Old Alameda air station. I don't know what airport, but some place out there was offering Zepplin rides over San Fransisco, I think the cost was $500 for an 1 to 2 hour flight.
