I am wondering what the international arrivals, immigration, and customs facilities are like at PDX. I have never flown internationally out of PDX and probably won't for a long time. I have the general idea of what they are like from the maps, pictures, and outdated virtual tour on the flypdx website, but can anyone talk from experience here? I was flying out the E Concourse last week and was able to wander over to the international concourse (which was completely empty at 6:00 AM) at the end of the D Concourse since I had time to kill that morning. All I was really able to see were regular-looking departure gates, a security checkpoint for the passengers that need to make connections after clearing customs, and lots of areas that are obscured by sand-blasted glass walls. I assume the hallways and access points to the facilities are behind there.
