I figure someone on here can help me quickly: it has been ages since I flew via CDG. What is the best way to get between terminal 1 and terminal 2a and about how long does it take?

I see the bus only runs about every 20-25 minutes most of the day--and when it does come, how long does it take, in each direction?

Thanks.

Take the CDGVAL train to T2, and then walk through to T2. Takes about 35 mins to be safe, but I think there is a shuttle bus you can take from the CDGVAL station at T2F to T2A, which should cut it down to 25 mins, depending on how quickly the bus goes.

Thanks, the airport website suggests going on the bus all the way but doesn't give a time estimate.

I guess I'll play it by ear...last time I was at CDG they didn't even have the CDGVAL yet.

That would probably be quicker if it's available. I asked about a direct bus from T2C and was told I had to use the CDGVAL as there was no bus. There probably is though, and I was just told the wrong thing.

OK, thanks.

I assume someone in terminal 2 will be able to give me flight info about terminal one flights...

Basically, my it happens I'll be in 2a and my parents will be in 1 and we are trying to figure out if it makes sense to hook up at the airport or not...

CDGVAL ride will take you about 5 min between the 2 terminals, then add 5-10 min walking to 2A (CDGVAL station in term 2 is at the same place as the TGV/RER railway station, just below the Sheraton hotel). The trains run approx every 3-5 min

Quoting goldorak (Reply 5):
then add 5-10 min walking to 2A

"walking" --> more in the 10-minute-range
"5 minutes" ---> rush (run)

I found that sometimes the English-version of adp.fr is missing information or contains outdated information. It took several months, IIRC, before CDGVal was operative in the EN-version ...
So it best is to check adp.fr in original language.

And, yes, CDGVAl should be first choice.

Actually, I would not be surprised if this turns out to be a bit problematic.

You should meet at either end of CDGVal then.
If you desire to get something to eat, go to T1. Some food outlets in the basement.
Or of the weather is fine and you want to get some fresh air, use CDGVal to Roissypole (T3) and have a walk around.

There is no other choice.

No more bus shuttle between Temrinal 1 & Terminal 2, only the CDG-VAL (much faster and convenient that the bus, anyway !)
