I am planning on flying on one of the following United flights using miles…
5:45 AM PHX - 7:03 AM LAX
United Express 6523 CRJ-200
8:25 AM LAX - 4:58 PM JFK
United 22 PS B757
8:45 PM JFK – 10:27 PM ORD
The PS flight is a breakfast flight, so I am wondering First or Business class. I see that the first class gets a snack before arrival. Does business class also get one?
It would also be help to know maybe what the choices would be if anyone knows (also the snack) for both classes it would also help me decide. I would like your input on which I should choose. If you could also route me to some Trip Report (current ones) it would also be help full. Two more questions I promise. The first one is I like to watch the TLC show “Cake Boss” and since I’m in NY/NJ I was wondering if I would be able to make it there and back through security at JFK for the JetBlue flight, and would I be able to bring it though security and onto the plane, or should I try to find a flight out of Newark instead. The second would I run into any problem doing this flight.
The second choice would be…
6:00 AM PHX - 8:45 AM DEN
United 264 B757
11:40 AM DEN - 3:05 PM ORD
United 956 B767 Intl. Config.
These flights would be in first class. The first flight serves just refreshments. On the second flight to ORD there is a lunch served. The second flight is 2hrs 25min with international first class.
So which flight should I choose the PHX-LAX-JFK-ORD or PHX-DEN-ORD. Any feed back would be appreciated and I’m excited to flight either, and I surly will make a TR about the one I choose.
First class would be nice if you want to sleep since it's a flat seat instead of just a recliner one, but I guess it's up to you if it's worth the extra miles to go first over business.
As for going to see the Cake Boss bakery in that short of a time.... I never really travel through that area but I can't imagine 3:45 to get off your plane, to the bakery, back to the airport, and through security is enough time but someone can answer that better than me.
I'm going to be making a trip up to NY some time soon and United's PS service looks really nice

I fly p.s. between NY and SF 2 - 3 times a month. It's by far the best US domestic service. I always decline the food because my laptop is out so can't help with the choices but they come around more than once so I guess that's the snack.
I've never gotten an upgrade to first (I think it must sell out) and my company will only pay for business in a three class cabin. With that said, I find business on p.s. to be more enjoyable than ordinary domestic first.
