quick question

when arriving at CDG from a business flight on LX from ZRH, any way I can access the lounge or are arrivals separated from departures?

reason I ask if coz Im flying in from Sydney, AUST and have 2 hours to kill before meeting a friend flying in to terminal 2E. Any other suggestions on what to do/where to relax?

Thanks in advance

LX uses the Star Alliance lounge in T1 at CDG. I don't know whether it can be accessed by arriving passengers. Normally you need a boarding pass for a same-day departure from the airport in question, but you could ask on arrival.

Another suggestion would be to take the free shuttle train to Terminal 2 which you would have to do eventually anyway. It leaves every 4 or 5 minutes from the lower level of T1 (look for the "CDGVAL" signs...that's the name of the shuttle). It takes 8 minutes to T2 with about 3 stops. The T2 stop is a short walk from Terminal 2E. There's a Sheraton hotel in the same area near the CDG railway station. You could have a drink in the hotel to kill time. It would then be a short walk to Terminal 2E to meet your friend. All of that is indoors by the way.

If you arrive hungry (which is unlikely flying LX in Business Class within Europe), head to basement of T1 as food outlet-options at T2E are minimal to nil.

If the weather is fine and you'd like some fresh air, take Navette (Shuttle) N2 to Terminal 2G and sit on a park bench there for a while before heading back to T2E.
But beware: T2G landside has only 2 (smaller) food outlets, one of which was closed last Sunday and a longer queue at the other. No drinks vending machine could be found.

In any case, you should agree on a definite spot at T2E where you will meet your friend.

Thanks guys!

HT: What do you mean? Isnt there just a small 'catchment' area for people coming out of 2E arrivals? where would you suggest making a meeting place? any landmarks/ or anything as you come out of 2E arrivals? Thanks

This is a piece of info I cannot recall.
I was at T2E check-in on last Sunday morning and the place was a beehive with long queues everywhere (even for using check-in kiosks).
And when I arrived back from LHR in Galerie Parisienne (the boarding satellite belonging to T2E where AF handles the A380 and more longhaul flights) I followed signs to T2G and after some lenghty walking found myself landside (after alieniated passport control) at 2F.

In case you guy plann to take the train (TGV or RER) to somewhere, meeting atop the station located between terminals 2CD and 2EF could be an option; this is also the place where the Sheraton is.
In any case, exchange of mobile phone numbers is recommended ...

Thank you

We will exchange numbers and I am tempted to make my friend go downtown on her own... and meet at the hotel, even though checkin is probably not possible !!! lol

The ride to central Paris on RER is a lengthy (and boring) one.

Enjoy Paris !
