Hi
I have a business trip to Tel Aviv coming up, and wondering if CO or DL in J class better? DL flies both B777 and B744, and CO flies B777. I have done a lot on DL ( Diamond medallion) and CO too (Plat), however, I have not tried CO's new C class product. Thx a lot.

Quoting tennis69 (Reply 1): I fly TLV-ATL-TLV about 5 times/year on DL in business. Comfortable, good food, good entertainment selection. Sorry, can't comment on CO.
Does Delta fly lie-flat equipped J class on this route? I don't even know what equipment they fly on the route. I can vouch for CO's new lie-flat seats, they are very comfortable! Chances to get them are increasing every week. I think just over half of the fleet of 22 aircraft are lie-flat equipped now. Food and AVOD are very good on CO's 777s as well.

Hi Danny
EL flies two flights, one a B744 and other the B772. Neither of which have full flat in J class. I do not know the rotation or the past placement of the B772 on CO with the new J class product. I know the chances are getting better, but my travel is in 3 weeks and not sure if i want to take a chance. I agree with CO's service on board is great.
I am also leaning towards DL but fly via AMS using KL flights out to AMS and TLV wi a nice break in Ams. I also will collect 4 Delft blue KL houses to add to my collection of 70.

Yeah, I can only find out 3 days out which aircraft you would get and even then, they could swap at the last minute. That happened to me in April. I was watching a couple days out the routing of the IAH-NRT aircraft and looked like my chances were pretty good to get lie-flats so I took my wife and did an overnight in Tokyo just to try the seats. Luckily, we got the lie-flats both directions! On the return, I slept a good 85-90% of the flight!

I highly recommend CO's new flat-bed BusinessFirst service. I had the luck of flying on the new seats for EWR-PVG, PEK-EWR, and EWR-DEL. I really enjoyed the 6' 6" bed, large screen, privacy, and "tower of power." As always, CO's food was great. I haven't tried DL's flat-bed seats (only experienced the old BusinessElite), but CO definitely has better food. Have a great trip!

I find Delta's flat bed seats extremely comfortable. If it is one of their flat bed products, definitely choose DL
