Folks,

I am leaving NYC for HK in mid Sept. and plan to back pack my way to India and then will take a flight to Dubai in November! Hopefully, will be able to complete this exciting journey.

So I am in the planning stages and would like to get your help, advise and any input.

a) In China, what would be the average last minute one way domestic fares? I also would like to find out about flights and trains from Western China to Vietnam, Thailand and India.

b) Same question for domestic flights, but inside India and perhaps to Malaysia, Indonesia.

Sorry to ask such broad questions, but any input is greatly appreciated.
