Hi all,
Since at least four fellow users will be visiting Russia within the next 4 weeks to fly some interesting hardware, I thought it may be good to share some infos on recommended seats.
I have flown on a ILW, Tu-134B, Tu-154B-2 and Tu-154M where I logged the seat numbers which I can share. Obviously those numbers are not necessarily transferable to other operators, but it may give an idea what to look for.
Here are my recommendations:
ILW: Seat 13A will be just ahead of this view:
Tu-134B: A seat ahead of the wing left me without a comparable view.
Can anyone recommend good seats for a similar view in a Yak-42 (ideally Saravia) and Yak-40 (Severstal Aircompany)?
Also, does anyone have a recommendation for the Tu-134A (UTair Aviation)?

Here are some others. I can't find my Tu-134 pictures right now.
An-24: Seat 1A/1D:
An-140-100: Seat 2A/D:
Yak-40: Seat 5/6A/D:
Yak-40: Seat 3/4A/D:
I found Yak-40 numbering to be slightly out of sync with the number of rows - as in there was no row one, so row 6 was actually only the 5th row in the cabin..

Hi Dan,
Thanks a lot for the recommendations. I understand there is no Yak-42 comparable view on the Yak-40, but nevertheless I will try to get the last seat row.
Would you be able to find & share the seat numbers for the Ty-134 as well? That'll be great and a big help. Last time I checked-in for the ILW in VKO I got random seats, I can't remember how I was able to explain them what I wanted without speaking the same language, but I remember it was difficult. This will probably be my first and last Ty-134A flight
Hi Viscount 724, I haven't applied for the visa yet. This time I will depart from Switzerland and I am still researching visa services in ZRH. Last year I went through a visa service in FRA which was excellent. I paid EUR 120 incl. all fees and had my passport back in less than 24h (they would even have returned the passport on the same day if I had come to their office before 11am). I had no hassles at all and I considered it as relatively cheap bearing in mind that most visa services charge extra for express applications.
If you need more details about this please let me know, I am happy to share the contact details of the agent.
