I'm looking to book myself on a BA flight to Philadelphia in November, and came across an odd pattern in the BA schedule. BA have 2 daily flights to PHL, however this is reduced to one flight from Thu 25th Nov to Sat 27th Nov.

Anyone have any clue as to why there is this anomoly in the timetable?

Thanks

I expect it's due to the U.S. Thanksgiving Day weekend. Little business traffic during that period. The premium cabins would be almost empty.

Thursday November 25th is Thanksgiving day in the US, so I would imagine that it simply has to do with fewer people traveling to the UK during those 3 days (although domestic travel is through the roof over that weekend).

Bingo and bingo. The route is supported by a strong amount of business travel in both directions, hence the daily 772 and 763 flights with more premium seats and more schedule options than a single 744.
