Are the Air France A380 flights from CDG > LRH > CDG still operating?

I can't find the flight on AF site.
I think it was a kind "test flight" to show the heavy metal at LHR.

Thanks

Stefano

Looks like you missed it by a couple of weeks.

Finished at the end of August (30th) and is now used on the CDG > NRT route. I did of course mean LHR, but you knew that already.

It was a good marketing tool, but the real point was crew training. AF A380 aren't meant to fly from LHR so the publicity could in fact benefit the carriers who do fly there in A380, Qantas and EK and later BA.

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

You have a number of options out of LHR - EK to DXB, QF to SYD or MEL and SQ to SIN
As mentioned, AF flies with the A380 out of CDG - to JFK, JNB and NRT
LH has also started flights out of FRA - to JNB, NRT and PEK
EK also flies with the A380 to MAN and CDG but presently not to FCO yet.

This seems to be your best option in terms of price as the closest option from Europe. I checked for prices and there is currently a fare wth AF from CDG to JFK return for EUR267.00 plus taxes of approx. EUR271.00. Will be cheaper if ex FCO however to get the correct booking class for the seat might be a bit tricky.

If you're looking for a destination further than JFK then you might want to consider QF from LHR to SIN. About EUR376.00 pls taxes or LH from FCO via FRA to NRT for about EUR340.00 plus taxes.

These are all based on specials currently in the market.

Good luck on choosing who and where to fly!

Cheers,

Rob
