I will be traveling to England soon and will be staying out at the airport for one evening. Does anyone know of hotels that offers a view of Heathrow's ramp/runway?

Best one I used to stay at was the Ramada. I think it's now (and has been for some time) the Rennaissance. Ask for a room on the upper floor overlooking the runway. Fantastic view of 27R / 09L

You used to be able to 'jimmy' the windows so they opened too...

The Renaissance Heathrow is particularly renowned for being adjacent to the main north runway with Terminal 1 and 3 opposite. It even does special packages for plane spotters so they can do their hobby in comfort from a hotel room.

Cannot recommend this hotel enough. It is expensive unless you're staying on a weekend, and you can get the spotters' deal. They don't do it in the week unfortunately, which raises the price from 90GBP on a weekend to 200GBP on a weekday.

I've been to the Arora Hotel Heathrow once and it was nice to watch the plane from the hotel room. It's located also on Bath road, opposite the BA ops centre (?).
Request a room on the top floor facing the airport. I see prices for a weekday starting from 120 GBP, on a weekend from 60 GBP.

If you get a high room floor at Jury's Inn at Hatton Cross you are right next to the aircraft as they pass the hotel for 24L and you can see down the runway.

Nice views generally over the tarmac.

And it's cheap.

While on the Hoppa Bus last week, we stopped at the Premier Inn which seemed to have rooms overlooking the 09/27 ?

Last year I had a room at the Heathrow Central Travelodge (during their £9 sale!)
On the top floor, there are some rooms with runway views...
