CO Upgraded Planes, Only On Certain Routes?

Hi all

Im not sure if this should be in Polls & Prefs or Civil Aviation so apologies if its in the wrong forum.

I was just wondering if the upgraded 752s and 777s with the new Business First seats are being used on specific routes to have a standardised service level every day, or if they are just chopped and changed?

More specifically, are the upgraded 752s used to DUB, or can anyone tell me if a new config aircraft will be used on CO23 on 17th November?

At least all their LHR routes are operated by aircraft with the new BF.

I know as a domestic traveler, it's always interesting to see where the LiveTV planes go. I flew SNA-IAH-AUS and back in September, and the relatively long ~3 hour CA-TX flights had no IFE, but then the short hops between Houston and Austin did!


Flying in the middle seat of coach is much better than not flying at all!

As was said, ALL LHR flights have the flatbeds. Any 777 route has a good chance of getting the flatbeds as there are only 4 left of the 22 without the flatbed seats while 26 of 41 757-200s feature the new seats with usually 2 aircraft in at a time at MCO getting the installations done. They are scheduled to be completed completed by July of 2011. You can follow the progess on CO's website at http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...ght/businessfirst/fleetstatus.aspx .

As far as the LiveTV installations, ALL the -900 and -900ERs are complete. The -800s are chugging along and the -700s are about 50% as there are usually about 4 aircraft in at a time being installed. This is also followed at http://www.continental.com/CMS/en-US...avel/Pages/DirecTVFleetStatus.aspx . The only thing is the newest deliveries from Boeing are NOT getting LiveTV installed as I believe they have replacement seats installed to get the planes into service due to the fallout with the seat manufacturing debacle. I could be wrong though. It was nice to watch the Steelers-Bengals on Monday Night Football the other night when I flew LAX-IAH!
