Good morning everyone,
Since this is my 2nd topic, I apologize if this is in the wrong section.
I had a question regarding US Airways Miles. I am currently trying to plan a trip to Japan this december ( to suprise my girlfriend) and was wondering if I would be able to use US Airways miles on other Star Alliance carriers? (You may be wondering why).
If I use US Airways, I have 3 connections, which 2 are in the US.
My routing would be: YYC - PHX - LAX - NRT (which connection times are short, not comfortable with that)
To make things easier, I was hoping for YYC - YVR - NRT or YYC - SFO - NRT (saves me from an extra stop))
I know this may be a long shot, just thought i'd ask. The reason behind this is due to the fact that I want to use these miles since they are building up fast. Which in turn, would save me from actually purchasing a ticket :P

You can reedem award travel using your Dividend Miles on Star Alliance carriers, I am assuming you are looking at UAL, AC or ANA for the segment to get you to Japan? I believe you have to do this via the phone through our rez center, finding award travel availability might be the tricky part. Make sure you call way in advance and best of luck.
