Hey Anet,
I'm flying with LH Business class from JFK-MUC next month on the 25th. The equipment is showing as an Airbus A330-300, and I selected seat 12A from the Lufthansa website. However, I was looking at seatexpert today and the seat shows up highlighted in yellow (as does the other row 12 window), however, a mouse-over does not yield any drawbacks to the seat. The seat appears to be in the middle of the business class cabin, so I'm trying to figure out what kind of drawback there could be. I'm kind of tall at 6' 3.5" (and growing) so any inches taken away really count.
If anyone has any info on this seat or row from flying before, or just general seating advice, it would be great if you could post below. Thanks.

Probably just marked in yellow because it is in the middle of the second(seperated by the toilets and galley) C/Cl cabin, and you may have to wait to be served.(usually begining in row 3 to the rear). Might mean that your meal choice is gone or when people are waiting for the toilet in front of row 10 they may disturb you.

Seatguru doesn't show any problems for row 12 for the A330-300 operated by KH. But if it is just the window seats that are showing up yellow, then it may be that the windows are misaligned and you may need to lean forward to get a view.

Its just the window seats, so that's probably it. On the plus side, the seat next to me (actually much of the row) is showing to be empty at this point, so maybe ill cheat and lean both seats back a little to get the other window

I recalled that around that area a window is missing due to technical reasons.
Seatguru does not show it for the LH A333 but if you check for a DL A333 you get that info.
Have look:
The missing window #2 aft of door 2R is of no concern (lav), but the missing window #9 "is yours".

I assume that since it is business class, I will have another window closer to my seat (each seat has two or three windows if I recall correctly). As long as its not the window right next to where my head is, I think I'll be able to manage, seeing as it is a night flight.

Seatguru does not show any yellow tags for row 12. On the other hand, Seatexpert shows a yellow tag on 12A and 12K.

Correct. Should be 3 windows on LH's seat layout.

According to http://www.lufthansa.com/mediapool/pdf/95/media_871795.pdf it will be the most forwardly located window.
Downward views from row 12 will be obstructed by the wing;.
On a sector JFK to MUC, "sleeping" should have priority anyhow ...

To my experience, it often takes 2 hours before the meal service is finished on those evening flights out of the U.S. - 2 hours less of precious sleep ...

Yes. I will sample the food in the lounge. Something light like a soup with a salad will do - I don't need to feel bloated - just satisfied. Also, I only tested the drinks in the lounge the last time I passed through, so I want to try a different part of the Lufthansa experience.

This was my experience as well when I took the same flight (albeit it in an A340-300). Waiting for dinner is a mistake I won't make again!
However, I've also had this slow dining experience on Airberlin in business class, so it is more widespread than just Lufthansa. I'm not entirely sure what the reason for it is though.
