I'm watching an episode of Seinfeld where Jerry and Elaine get rerouted on a flight to LGA instead of JFK. Trouble is 1 seat is in first and the other is in coach. Jerry takes the F seat while Elaine suffers hell in Y. Towards the end of the episode Elaine sneaks up to F and sits in an empty seat only to be quickly kicked back to coach.
I'm sure some of you have seen it happen for real. I'd like to hear your stories.
Once I was flying SNA-CVG and during boarding there was a couple who sat in the row across from me. As their friend boarded she took the seat next to me. We were being served drinks, announcements were being made and towards the end of the boarding process the lead FA came to the girl and asked to see her boarding pass. BUSTED!! She was asked to take her orginal seat.
Later on through the flight, no joke, a gentleman from coach came forward to use the lav. Both mid and forward lav were in use so he was standing in the aisle waiting and decided to take the seat next to me. I was amused. He started playing a game on the ptv until the lead FA caught onto him too. I was silently rooting him on, wondering how long he could pull it off. It was just funny to me.
*the intent here is not to start a war between folks over F using F lavs and Y using Y lavs, just trying to generate a light, amusing subject. respectfully, thank you.
They don't call em' emergencies anymore. They call em' Patronies.

Happens all the time. Pax plonk themselves down... sometimes they get away with it for some time as crew don't always communicate with each other about pax movements they have made. Longest I've had on a flight is about 6 hours... enough time for a bit of a sleep!

This happened on an EK flight out of Mad back in August. I was sitting in 2K and a woman boarded and sat down in 2A. She was offered a glass of champagne which she accepted and made herself comfortable. A few minutes later the purser came and asked to see her boarding pass. He was very polite and made a little joke of it while helping her move her cabin baggage down to her correct seat. She was allowed to keep the glass of champagne, which was rather nice I thought.
