Hello everybody,

I am planning on doing an Asia trip in 2011, I want to get a ticket with TK from Europe, since they have great fares.

I want to get to a Asian city and then travel through the continent using local lowcosts. I know Air Asia, but there are more. Can you help me by naming a few more?
You can exclude Chinese, since I am not planning into going to China (don´t want to do the visa hassle).
Air Asia has some great fares from KUL to certain destinations, such as BWN, but for example to DPS, CMB or TPE it gets over my budget.

Thank you beforehand for your help!
Have a great day,

Well you can try Thai Air Asia from their BKK base or Indonesia Air Asia but those two mainly focus on the SEA region and don't fly to Sri Lanka, Taiwan etc. if I remember correctly. However I doubt that Jetstar is much cheaper than AK. Tiger Airways flies only from SIN and SIN is not exactly a place for people on a budget.

I would go with AK and maybe you can get to DPS cheaper if you fly KUL-CGK-DPS. If you want to go to TPE it's probably cheapest from KUL, BKK or maybe HKG if you get a good offer.

However I don't think you can go much cheaper than with AK. You should check different dates as the price difference can be huge. Also sometimes MH and other legacy carriers have special offers which make them the same price as AK or other budget airlines.
