Avianova Flight Bookings

I have tried booking a flight on Russian low cost airline Avianova (AO) on their website. Unfortunately this hasn´t worked out so I need help. Do you have any suggestions on how to make a booking? They do offer some cheap fares and are a very lucrative airline so I would definitely like to try them!

I have tried online booking and have given them my credit card information. As I was already waiting for the usual confirmation "Your flight is now booked and everything is ok" their system only told me that there was some kind of a problem. Nothing specific was mentioned! So, I did try another credit card and I did experience same kind of a problem again! Fortunately my cards have not been debited!

Maybe my bank is precausious and has denied use of their cards on Russian websites? Or maybe as a foreigner I am not allowed to make a flight booking on a Russian website?

AO does offer a possibility to make bookings over phone but since their customer service only speaks Russian and I don´t, well, it´s not actually a possibility. Also it would be possible to pay using local Russian terminals but I´m not in Russia.

I experienced the same problem on koreanair.com in the recent 24 hours, despite having successfully making another booking a few days earlier (2 different Mastercards issued in Germany; using SecurCode). I will try again in a few days ...

Still no help for the original problem, but the problem at (koreanair.com for South Korea) KE still exist as of noon today CET.

I received a phone call from the bank that issues my primary Mastercard today.
During the friendly discussion, the agent disclosed that the credit card information supplied by KE to them ( = my CC-issuer) were a) incomplete and b) information were in a wrong order, thus meaning that automatic processing is impossible.
For example the Expiration Date shall be sent in a incorrect format.

She also confirmed that my CC is not blocked for transactions carried out in South Korea.

The source of the problem undoubtedly is either at KE itself or at some local company in between that forwards CC-information on behalf of KE, as the problem is not restricted to that single Mastercard to my experience.
Plus, I successfully made a booking in the very same way late in December. Either the software was changed or it has to do with the turn of the year ...

I will follow up on this in a few days.

My bank also told me today that they have not blocked this payment. So, this problem is something else - maybe in Russia.
