Normally most KU livery concepts dont look appealing this one strike s a chord, dont care for the Arabic font style though something unserifed or smaller would be better.

Looks good except the white design on the blue... when I first glanced at it the Star of David shows up in several places... I think it's a optical illusion and not intentional... However once seen, it's hard to un-see.

Didnt even notice that, plain would be better, Star of David or Seal of Solomon is used as a decorative motif in Muslim countries, purely as a design without any connection to Judaism.

Agree, however why wave a red flag that may be misinterpreted when other geometric designs could be used...

Like the pattern on the engines and the Arabic font style but the tail says to me ''EL AL'' , I like LY's livery but this would be a ripp off of it and not a nice one.

Nice, however I feel it looks too much like LY's livery.
Perhaps some sharper lines would lessen this. Also the Arabic caligraphy probably won't be dropped. I do think the 'wavy' lines trend is a big mistake-MEA for example got rid of a perfectly good livery and threw in a few wavy lines which basically cluttered the livery.

I like MEA's current livery but this was the best IMHO :

Same here, it reminds me of LY as well.

I thought I saw a LY bird...nope. But definitely seems to be the first thing that comes to everyone else's mind.

And I'm guessing that's the one airline whose livery they don't want to be compared with. Is this something that was commissioned by KU, or something that was just thought up for them?

I think the addition of another colour (there is red and green on the Kuwaiti flag) might help to un-LYise this scheme?

I do like it, however, and they really do need to change their livery; the current one is really just a lazy reworking of their 1980s scheme, which was hardly exciting. Mind you, right now, their minds are probably fixed on their A300 fleet problems!

The blue and white is what makes it look like LY to me. Perhaps were it to be done in something other than blue? Green, associated by some with Muslim regions, might be quite nice.

The blue/white however is an integral part of the logo/livery which has been around since the late '50s. While KU can update their livery, there's no need to change it 180 degrees. I think cleaner, straighter lines would give it a classic look without trying too hard.

Blue is important to KU, thats clear. But maybe they could integrate the colors of their flag on the tail somehow. Perhaps nothing too bold like Emirates but they definitely cannot go with something that would remind people of LY.
