UA879 HNL-NRT Delay

Was out at HNL having a look this morning and saw UA 879 taxi out, get as far as the taxiway out to the reef runway, then turn back and start a slow 15 minute taxi back to the Diamond Head concourse gates.

Got back home and saw they took a nearly 3 hour delay:

Anyone know what was up?

Mechanical. The UA flight status shows the reason as aircraft servicing.

For some reason it showed it under the arrivals part after clicking "more details."
