My family will be flying UA from LGA-ORD-DEN-ORD-LGA on UA's A319, A320, B757 and B777. United is offering Economy Plus seating for only $39.00/per flight, my question is, is it worth it? As for now, Row 17 (The first row of UA's 777) is still available, should we go for it? It's only a 2hr flight and Row 17 is located near the wing so the view is blocked. We are currently booked on Rows 33 and 34 on UA's 777, how's the view from those rows? How about buying Economy + seats on the A319/A320? Is it worth it? or no? All of the four flights are around two hours. BTW Does UA offer free scnaks/drinks?

I'm not that tall, I haven't reached my full height yet, so legroom is definitely not an issue, but for the sake of Row 17, having the PTV and tray tables on your armrests... lol

PS: How are the loads on those flights? (August 5, returning on August 13)

Thanks  Smile

It is way too early to ask about loads for those flights. You should ask when it is about two days before departure.

I think he is asking for an average, either at that time or year-round.

Yes, the average. Sorry for not explaining clearly

For a 2 hour flight I would say it's not worth it. If you don't need the leg-room then this does is separate you from your money. The service is the same. It can be comfortable to have some space, but for me being 5'7" I won't spend the money. There are others that feel differently.

UA does free non-alcoholic drinks.

Anything more than 3 hours maybe depending on the price, any flight longer than 6 hours definately.

I get E+ almost everytime I fly. Once you try it, it's a love at first flight, at least for me. It's especially comfortable on the 777s and 757s, IMO. I say go for it.

It depends on how tall you are IMHO. A short person will have less or no trouble with a tighter seat pitch, but if you're tall, you will notice any difference. I'm slightly taller than 1.90 m, so if I had the money to spare, I would definitely go for Economy Plus.

It doesn't seem like you really need the extra space. Maybe try it for one leg?

I payed the upgrade fee after booking my flight from YVR-ORD and found the extra leg room was good but thought the extra leg room isn't that much/special, but getting of quickly at ORD was nice. I was in the second row of Y+ on an A320 with the leather seats
