Hi Everyone,
I just have a quick question. I'm booked to fly to IST from LHR in April. Both flights are scheduled to be on the 737-800. Any chance that either flight would be upgraded to a widebody?
I know it's not such a long flight, but widebodies are always more fun

They do fly quite a variety of types - indeed, almost everything they fly comes into LHR; usually the morning flight is a widebody and the afternoon flight, an A321; I haven't seen a TK 738 at LHR (although in fairness, I'm not there that often). Fingers crossed; you might be lucky! I'm sure one of our Turkish members can give you more accurate info, particularly if you ask closer to the date.

The 738s do visit but they are probably the least common visitors these days....the A321, A320, B773 and A333 have all visited over the winter...and occasionally an A332.
I read somewhere that TK sent over 100 of their A/c to LHR in 2010 making it the airline sending most unique visitors last year (after the British Airlines of course!)
Things might change for the summer 11 schedule and the 738 might be more common - who knows - but last year most of the am flights were with the 773s.
