According to the official website, there are two hotels at Rio De Janeiro Galeao (GIG) airport.
One of them is called the Luxor and the other is called the Pousada do Galeão.
I can find the Luxor on most of the booking sites. But I can never find anything on the Pousada de Galeao.
Does anyone know when it opened and if it is still operating?

Luxor is an average hotel, but I'm afraid there is no window. Don't expect too much. I don't know anything about Pousada do Galeao. Take a look at tripadvisor.
Why don't you take a cab and go to Barra or the South Zone to get a better hotel? It's a 30 minutes drive to South Zone or 50 minutes to Barra.
A brand new hotel will be build at GIG and will be ready for the World Cup. It's desperately needed.

RodRB, I was looking to stay at the airport because I will be meeting my wife and children off a flight which arrives very early in the morning from Europe. But I will look at Barra or the South Zone.
Do you know if the new hotel will be open later this year, like October time?
Found the Pousada on trip advisor. It does not sound good!

Staying at cheap hotels : - "You'll get what you'll pay for".
You'd be better off staying downtown, then take cab to the airport on day of the flight. Good luck,
