DL 1724 ATL-BWI was used with a 763ER with winglets tonight. I was spotting at the viewing area on the approach end of 33L-15R and saw it take off right overhead of me. I checked the history and it has been a variety of aircraft ranging from a MD-88 to a 757. Was there something special going on in BWI that warranted a 763? Must have been a special treat for those usually treated to a narrowbody.

"But this airplane has 4 engines, it's an entirely different kind of flying! Altogether"

Occasionally, the flight is subbed with a 767. I wonder how full the flight was and where the aircraft is heading to next?

I was walking by the gate in ATL as they were boarding that flight. I thought it was odd to see a 767 on the route.

The plane turned around as DL0054 BWI-ATL. The outbound was full, the return flight had about 37 open seats.

Demonstrates that a 763 on the route might be viable.
