UA Inta-Asian Flights: Same Plane Service From US?

UA has a couple of flights in Asia as "continuation" of flights from the US.

Can someone tell me for the following flights whether the planes that operate the Trans-Pacific leg continues with the same flight number on the intra-Asian leg? Or aren't these flight numbers same plane services from the US hub to the final destination in Asia?

(I am aware that there often is another intra-US leg flown by a different plane in the US; I also am aware that some of these intra-Asian flights will in the future be performed by CO 738s. I want to know about the current status)

UA 881: ORD-NRT-ICN, B772
UA 837: SFO-NRT-BKK, B744
UA 853: SFO-NRT-TPE, B772
UA 803: IAD-NRT-SIN, B772
UA 869: SFO-HKG-SGN, B744
UA 895: ORD-HKG-SIN, B744

Thanks

Same flight number, does not mean same plane.

Aircraft get juggled regularly at NRT, especially as there are different cabin configurations.

For example UA803 IAD-NRT is generally is the new 3-class IPTE config, while the NRT-SIN leg is virtually always the older 3-class config at the moment.

Samething at HKG, with the two inbound 744s from the US which can make up either the SIN or SGN continuation flight. This one is actually often guided by maintenance needs, as they can do work overnight in SIN when required.

Thank you very much, this is just the kind of "insider info" I was hoping to get!

Just one more question though: even if the flight number does not get flown by the same plane USA-NRT/HKG-Asia, cn I assume that all intra-Asian flights are performed by planes that have landed in NRT/HKG from a Trans-Pacific flight (one of the above or others, e.g. from HNL, SEA...)? Or are there planes that only do intra-Asian runs?

Thanks again

What other routes have been consistently getting the new 3-class IPTE config? Have they been promising it on certain routes?

United tends to flow planes back and forth from the USA, however they can certainly remain in Asia for several days. This does seem to be happening currently with the older 3-class config 777s. For example I've seen a plane do SIN-NRT-SIN turn for a few days.

Anyhow here were today (20Jun) turns in NRT for info.

777s
SIN - SEA
TPE - TPE
ICN - SFO
HNL - IAD
LAX - HNL
SEA - SIN
IAD - LAX
ORD - ORD
SFO - ICN

Note that the TPE turned back around to TPE.

If you want to broaden the discussion, an airline like Delta they leave aircraft in Asia - hence 757s based there.

For the July schedule, the IPTE 777s primarily assigned as follows.

IAD-LHR 918/925
IAD-DXB
IAD-NRT
LAX-LHR
LAX-NRT
LAX-PVG
ORD-NRT
SFO-LHR 930/931
HNL-NRT

The TPE turn aircraft from the 20th, stays in Asia on the 21st going to SIN.

What source do you use for that type of information?
