Best Looking Aircraft A340 or B707

Hard to decide. The 707 is a classic beuty and the A340 is the most elegant aircraft since the B707. Best looking for their individual times perhaps ?

What do you guys think ?

Why did you pair those two together? Because they both have four engines?

Is there a B747 or A380 mentioned ?

Why not ? Both the B707 and A340 are elegant aircraft for their time.

Sorry but the best looking quad of all time isn't the 707 or A340.

And the winner is the Vickers VC10.

No, there isn't. Nor is DC-8, nor Il-86. Nor did I make any possible indication that they were.

Was just asking a question....

He wasn't asking for best looking quad. Best looking between these two.

I would say the A340-600 is best. The 707 is good, but it reminds me too much of a 737.

Well, developmentally speaking, the 737 should remind you of the 707.

All that aside, I'd go with the 707. The A340-500 isn't far behind, though.

I like that,

Seriously, though, the 707 is one of the best looking Aircraft ever made, A340 ? it has always, to me, looked all 'wrong'
the -300 with it's tiny engines looks out of proportion.

The -600 is ok, but still not a great looker.

no contest, 707 all the way.
Now if there were more options (say all widebody airliners) the choice might have been different

In my opinion, neither the 707 or the A340 come close to the 747-400 in the beauty stakes.

Without the shadow of a doubt, the A340 reigns supreme.
