I booked Sunwing to fly to AMS in a few weeks yesterday. And now I find out the dates have changed to days that Sunwing doesn't fly there. Thankfully I purchased the cancellation waiver.

I searched all over their website (flysunwing.ca) and can't find anything other than the description about it. Do I have to call them or is there something I missed?

Sorry if this belongs in poll/prefs but I figured I'd get a faster response on here and this needs to be done asap..

I'd suggest you just pick the phone up and talk to someone.

That way, you know its been taken care of.

Thank you that's what I wanted to know, I can call them to do it. :P I couldn't figure it out, the website wasn't helpful in telling me how to cancel. I've never had to have a flight canceled before.

not surprising, they don't like cancellations so make them as hard as possible.
Better (for them) to have a no-show and get the same seat paid for twice (once by you and once by the standby passenger who takes it instead)

I wish I were flying

Haha, well...it's a 767 so that won't work.

I'm not letting that happen. I'll cause a scene over the phone if I have to if that's how I get my way.

If you purchased the cancellation waiver you will be well within your rights to expect a refund.

In general though, how I cancel a flight... since I hunt for sale fares it's always nonrefundable and usually less than the $150 change fee, so I just don't show up.

I wasn't able to because I didn't book the flight more than 44 days in advance. They offered me travel vouchers for the future but I decided to extend my trip by a few days so I don't have to deal with that. Meh, wasn't a problem for me. I look forward to trying out Sunwing.
