Air China Upgraded To 4-Star By Skytrax, And More

I don't really trust them fully but might as well mention the recent upgrades and downgrades,


It looks like CA has been upgraded to 4-stars by Skytrax

as well as Tianjin Airlines (never heard of them before and it looks like there's only two passenger comments posted.

AB is also downgraded to 3-Stars and Transaero is upgraded from a 2-star to an official 3-Star Airline.

Still waiting for VA and VX's star rating.

BTW it seems like Chinese airlines have been doing great lately (China Southern being upgraded to 4-stars and Hainan to 5-stars) Are they really becoming better or did their pay checks come in handy?  http://www.airlinequality.com/StarRanking/rank_review.htm

I have stopped trusting them a long time ago. CA and 4 stars? I guess the editors haven't heard anything yet about CA's 747-400s with old-style and worn interiors...

Who knows what these odd ratings are based on.

Never thought an airline would get downgraded but I heard an airline (BA or EK IIRC) got downgraded before. Should be a rare thing.
