Hi guys I am deciding on either one of these choices. I heard a lot of negative feedbacks about KLM's Business class seat. I am 6 foot 4, and apparently I heard the seat would be uncomfortable for me, I like to hear from you guys, what do you think and which should I go for?
KLM would be from BKK - TPE on 74M while EVA Air would be 77W from SIN-TPE.
KLM's business return ticket cost S$600 but I have to buy SIN-BKK on another carrier, while EVA Air's flight would be direct but the air fare is S$790. I am already flying with BR's 74M to HKG, so its not a big deal if I don't fly KLM's 74M, still I like to hear from you guys before I make my final decision!

Hi Ryan,
I have not flown on either carriers but I'd choose BR in a heartbeat (sounds familiar eh?). S$790 in Elite is pretty cheap (premium economy?) compared to carriers like SQ charging sometimes up to S$1200 for SIN-TPE in Economy. S$600 BKK-TPE means you have to buy SIN-BKK which you mentioned, but it can cost more than S$200 even in FD and 3K. Therefore, I'd recommend BR. You can try calling BR to see if you can top up for your existing ticket to add SIN-TPE-SIN, it might be cheaper.
Looking forward to your trip report on this leg, if you are writing any.
P.S. If you remember my post about my 1h 35m transfer in KUL, I made it without problems.

Hi Daniel
Yeah , I remembered your post ! My heart is telling me to fly with BR too because I will be flying most of their long haul with the exception of 744. I will most likely adding UniAir MD-90 on their domestic flight too, so it will be like killing many birds in one stone! Trip report, yeah maybe I can do one this time. I had wanted to do my European trip report, but in the end I was lazy to do ! Ok, I have to be more hardworking this time round ! (In a heartbeat sounds familar indeed!)

I would go with EVA, I flew KLM Business from AMS-AUA-AMS.
Dissapointing would be a good comment.
The catering was very bland almost an E+ meal, the seat was not very comfortable for 9+ hours, you would doze but not sleep, the crew were very good but at a distance.
Best part was flying the MD11
you don't get a second chance to make a first impression!

Hi Daniel
Sorry for my late reply
Quoting Initious (Reply 3): Yup, a trip to Pulau Tekong unfortunately, exactly a week from now.
All the best for your NS ! Don't worry, time will pass by very quickly ! It will be over before you know it! The folks here will definitely miss your trip report! Do you do plane spotting as well at Changi Beach or at T1 ?

Thanks for your input ! Yeah, I heard similar comment with yours. I guess the only thing that is attractive is flying the 74M.
Yes, MD-11 is a great plane to fly on, Flew on AY's SIN-BKK routing, I had the most powerful take off experience on that flight! Its harder to catch this a/c type in this part of the world though.
