Just a quick question to see if anyone has any information.

I am booked on an Air Asia flight from DPS to DRW next January, but I have just been on their website to try and book another seat and can't find any availability between October and February!!

Does anyone know is this route is cancelled?

I have seen nothing in the local media about it, so I doubt it. But why are you comming to Darwin in January? Its hot , very humid and very wet. Its a great town to visit so what you planning on doing while you are here .

feel free to PM if you want any local info

Thanks for the reply.

I'm visiting friends who are travelling around Aus for 12 months. Jan was the only time I could get time off work, plus it get me away from the awful winters over here!!

The flights were pricey into Darwin, so I booked a cheap KLM ticket to Bali to have a few nights there and then travel on with Air Asia to Darwin. It's really strange, but I can't get any availability on the DPS-DRW after October of this year. It's almost as if they've stopped selling it ready to pull the route?? I really hope not, as that would leave me to find another way to Darwin.

Indeed they seem to stop Bali-Darwin, but Jetstar.com is also flying nonstop daily, on dummy dates in january it's about 170 AUD one way.

nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

If your flight is already booked you will likely be advised by Air Asia if there is any change. Last year one of my flight was rescheduled and I got a text message, an email AND a phone call.
Hope everything will be fine, enjoy your trip !
