Hi everybody,
My question is, have you flew some new airlines/aircraft this year or do you have it planned? I'm not saying a new airline, just the first time you flew with it. For me it's A319 in Feb (BA), 4U and VY in Jul. For 2012, I've planned to go KEF-LIM-NRT-HKG-SYD-BKK-DXB-CAI-KEF. That would include some flights inside Australia, Peru and maybe Japan. Right now the new airlines on that trip would be:
American Airlines (Flown on Eagle, but not mainline)
Star Peru
United
Cathay Pacific
Virgin Atlantic
JetStar
Qantas
Thai
Emirates
Etihad
Egyptair
Lufthansa (Flown on Cityline, but not mainline)
And aircraft:
Boeing 777-200(ER)
Boeing 747-400 (only flown -300)
Airbus 340-600
Boeing 777-300(ER)
Airbus 340-300

New Airlines:
Delta - 6x (JFK-ATL-CUN-ATL-EWR, LGA-DTW-FLL)
United - 4x (LGA-ORD-DEN-ORD-LGA)
US Airways - 2x (FLL-CLT-LGA)
Well I've had a good year so far for new types
New Aircraft:
Airbus A321 (US)
Boeing 727 (FX) Though technically it didn't fly, I got on board and even visited the cockpit
Boeing 737-400 (US) Though not sure, I think I flew with a PR 734 back when I was younger, it could have been a 733...
Boeing 737-800 (DL)
Boeing 757-200 (DL) Yeah Really!
Boeing 777-200 (UA)
MD88 (DL)

No new airlines for me this year, and only one new a/c type, 757-300.
As for next year, too early to say, as while I already do have a trip booked on Delta for February and my trip will be on an a/c type I have flown on before (763), as even if they change the equipment on my flight, there's only two likely other a/c types for the flight, both of which I have flown (752, 753). They have put the 738 on this route every so often, but never for the particular flights I'm flying on.
Now later in 2012, depending on what I decide to do for a trip later in the year, I may be trying out a new airline and possibly a new a/c type depending on what I decide to do. I'm still at least 7 or 8 months away from making the decision on a trip for next Fall.

I've only flown 4 sectors this year so far. No new aircraft types, 1 new airline (Thomsonfly) and 2 new airports (JFK and IBZ).
However in November/December, I have 18 sectors booked, which if all happens according to plan, will include:

Flown business class with them for the first time.
Trying economy with them for first time later this year.
Thai
Flew with them in first for the first time this year. Was also my first A340-600 flight. Flying them in economy later this year. Will be flying LAX-BKK-SYD, so an A340-500 for the first time and the 500 and 600 in one trip.

Glad some of us have had an interesting year... I have yet to fly anything but WN since last December! I'm so bored I booked ORD-MEM-BNA on DL for one direction of an upcoming trip just to mix it up a little...justified of course by saving 20 bucks.
And in December I get to do 3000 miles on COex ERJs... oh joy, oh rapture...
