My first ever long-haul plane travel was in the Fall of 1997 (Depart Oct, Return Nov). I flew British Airways from San Francisco to London (747 I think), changed planes and flew to Tehran via a stop in Larnaca, Cyprus (45 minute stop, we stayed on the same plane and it was nighttime if that helps). On the way back, I don't particularly remember stopping along along the way so perhaps a triangle LHR-LCA-THR-LHR routing? Thanks everyone!
