Are there any plans at all for flights to NUE (Nuremberg) from the United States?

I think the market for that would be too small. The largest planes using NUE in a regular basis are A330 right now - but these are only used on some hogh traffic holiday routes down to the south (spain an such)

I think most airlines will keep their intercontinental traffic either at MUC or FRA (which are both not far away).

I just know that there is some US Army Charter using NUE for bringing soldiers to the US base in Bamberg. Thats always a nice gift for a photoguy to see an american widebody at NUE (767, DC10, 747, ...).

Well, Delta can fill a 762 from ATL to STR.

DL retired their last 762 several years ago. ATL-STR is a 763ER.

STR works for Delta. I think that NUE would work just as well. Although NUE is not that big of a city, you got a lot of major companies close by (Siemens, Adidas, Puma). I am originally from the NUE area and would love to fly directly from ATL to NUE one day!
