Hi All,
According to the JetBlue website flight #171 JFK-SMF diverted midway through its flight to OMA, where it sat for over five hours before continuing to Sacramento. Anyone have an idea why? The options I can think of are:
1) Medical or tech, and crew timed out
2) Tech, took time to get replacement part
What's interesting is that I don't believe JetBlue has service to OMA, which makes me think it was a medical. However, the plane was on the ground for a significant amount of time, which is unusual unless the crew times out or something technical develops.
Thanks for your help!
Pilot: "Request push, which way should we face?" JFK Ground: "You better face the front, sir, or you'll scare the pax!"
