Hi,

I wonder if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone knows what I can do. I'm flying out to LIN on EI this Saturday, & coming home again with EI from MXP on Sunday. I checked in online for the LIN flight no problem, selected & paid for seats on BOTH flights, but when I try to check in for the MXP - DUB flight, it just says "cannot be completed at this time". I contacted the "reservations department" which was basically a recording telling me to print my boarding pass @ the airport. Fine, but will I still get my seat that I paid for?! Very annoying, I wanted to talk to an actual real person, & I couldn't find an email address even just for general enquiries.

It's so silly in these days of more convenience we just tangle ourselves up even more!

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks HT, I saw this on the website, but it also says "all flights from Ireland to Continental Europe" which confuses me...

Is this just me? Or is it not kind of contradictory?

But you have the problem with the MXP to DUB sector, or ? And that one is "Continental Europe to Ireland"...

Do you not think it's strange that it allowed me to pick me seat...& pay for it...but not contine the check in?

Sorry, I suppose I'll just have to wait & see what happens!

No.
Your seat is reserved, regardless if you check-in online or not. So the airline has a just case to charge for this service.

Not offering OLCI from one airport may have different reasons: The airport is not properly equipped to process OLCI-papers; national law does not allow OLCI, as passport needs to be checked during CI-process; ....
What the reason in case of MXP is I do not know.
