Hi all
I am traveling on TK from ZRH-IST-KUL-IST-ZRH and the flights from and to Zurich are on TK metal where as the long haul flights are on MH. I am lucky enough to fly in Business and am a bit confused on the B738 of TK. I read that they have 2x2 seating but on their own website it shows 3x3 just like the other European airlines. However on seatguru.com they also show as 2x2. I know seatguru is not always precise but in the photo database I saw both versions. So are both used to Europe or are some used for domestic trips?
Further how are transit facilities in IST? I read about a lot of people and long lines. Does anybody have some experience at that airport?

I have flown TK B738 in Business HAJ - IST - HAJ and ít had a proper 2x2 Business Class seating.

Getting from Arrivals to Departures is just a quick Boarding Pass check.
But there is a security check at the departure gate (or area for 2 to 3 gates), so be there early.

Hi,
Turkish has got 2 versions of the 738. One has got a proper business class seating (2x2), the other has just got a 3x3 seating like on most European airlines. These are not just used domestic but also throughout the network.

TK has multiple cabin versions. They are in the process of adding more 2x2 737s, however they are intended for longer haul flights, and generally more business heavy markets when they show up in Europe.
The lounge is in the transit area. Security screening is done at each individual gate.

Thanks guys. I looked yesterday and the two TK flights to ZRH are with the 3x3 seating and not the 2x2. Guess ZRH is not high profile enough for the 2x2 seating.
