I have to say that Africa One was a colour scheme that really stood out to me. The way the paint seemed to shimmer on the tail of their DC10 looked amazing when seen close up.

Shame they did not last that long.

Always loved the old Northwest Orient livery, it was so different even at the time, with the fat cheat line that ends at the front door and the plain, logo-free red tail.

Still one of the most distinctive tails anywhere and I alternate between being surprised and not surprised that it's still in use! It looks very retro (and always looked kind of odd; even as a kid I knew it was different), but it is absolutely unmistakable which airline this is from a mile away.

I used to live in a great spot where I could see right down the runways at SFO and Flying Tigers 747's were a common sight. I used to love this livery and could spot it from the moment they were lined up on the runway about 5 miles away (I wish I took more - or really any - photos during the time I lived in that house).

I do have various photos of my own of JAL Reso'cha planes. I was always excited to see one. There were several different designs that all had this same theme.

If I recall correctly the "Bud Lite" color scheme was kind of rare, so it was always a treat to see it. I always liked bare metal schemes and the fact that only a few of Western's planes seemed to have it made it feel more special.
