Hi All,

I'll be flying CDG-JNB in February, in "Premium Economy" according to the AF website. The flight is scheduled to be an A380. Is Premium Economy the same as Premium Voyageur? There don't seem to be any photos of it on the database, and looking at the AF website, the seats look to be the same as Affaires, with the exception of being in a 2-3-2 lay out. What is the difference between the two?

Also, I read an archived thread from 2010 saying that the first 4 AF 380's weren't installed with Premium Voyageur - would I be right in thinking that they've since been modified?

Cheers,

MCO 2 BRS

F-HPJA & F-HPJC have been modified per Planespotters.net, but F-HPJB & F-HPJD have not yet.

All the AF A380 will be fitted with the "Premium Voyageur" by the end of Dec 2011.

"Voyageur" is the name of Air France's "Economy" Class. Logically, "Premium Voyageur" is the name of the "Premium Economy" ...

The colour may be similar, but they are much smaller than affaires. It is a bit of a half way house between economy and business. The seat is noticeably wider, there is much more legroom, and a good deal more recline.

It is a very good premium economy as these products go!
