BA 2166 TPA-LGW Canceled Wednesday, Why?

Imagine my surprise when I went to TPA this morning and saw BA at the gate. The Rudolph one.viously Wednesday flight was canceled. Today's flight from LGW is due just before sunset. So we'll have 2 BA 777 together. What route were Rudolph supposed to fly from LGW on Thursday. So will they cancel an inboung flight & just send Rudolph out with paying pax?


I feel woozy....what did you put in that Pudding Pop?

I saw via Delta's website that there was a strike involving UK Border staff leaving Passport Control severly understaffed at LGW and LHR. Delays of up to 8 hours were possible, especially for those who didn't have a passport from the EU. That would be my guess as to why BA cancelled the TPA-LGW flight.

Turned into a non event as there turned out to be more people on UK border then normal and the place was REALLY quiet. I don't think any flights were cancelled though, flights were blocked out so people could not book adding to the number of customers flying thru, but no canx that I recall.

I was wondering why you kept calling it Rudolph, until it hit me. The Red Nose Day nosecone, haha good one. Next time I see it I am gonna shout Rudolph lol, same goes for the Red Nose 734 also.

Yes because over here we have Red Nose Day/Comic Relief every year here in Britain. They do a TV show once a year and they do stuff to raise money for charity, like a TV show doing special/comedy episodes etc... Also you can buy Red Nose's and wear them... on your nose.

Also there is a BA 734 which is the same.

Red Nose Day/Comic Relief happens in March, so it looks if the red nose on the 777 and 737 will stay on for next year also.
