Good afternoon!

Next summer I will be flying from LCA to LAX and I would like to ask you if you could tell me what is the best option.
My options are as follow:

1. Air Canada via Calgary (A333) (LH to FRA A321) and then to LAX on E190
2. LCA-LHR A3 A320/ LHR-ORD UA B763 (yuck) and then B752 to LAX
3. LH LCA-FRA A321/ FRA-ORD B772/ ORD-LAX B752
4. UA via IAH on B764 and then IAH to LAX on B764

5. British Airways, LCA-LHR B763/ LHR-LAX B772 *could this become an A380?

6. LCA-LHR CY A320/ LHR-LAX on Virgin Atlantic's A340-600.

Or I could just fly on Emirates via Dubai for £8,000

Last time I flew FRA-IAD on LH's B747-400 and it was one of the worst flights ever.

Thank you.

This will be your best option. The flight, BA279 will not be operated by the 772ER, it is on the 77W with their newest and best Y product (I assume you will fly in Y). BA wont get their A380s until 2013 I believe.

Its going to be a long day, so I'd say the less connections and remaining on one airline would be the best. While I am not a fan of LHR, I also agree seems #5 would be the best choice of the group.

An alternative If you dont mind heading to TRNC, you could also do ECN-IST-LAX. TK has been offering €200 at the airport upgrades to Comfort Class, quite a bargain for something that rivals some business class products out there.

That is the best option. EK is great, and usually always on time, unlike some airlines(cough cough- United)
Mostly every UA flight ive been on is delayed at least one hour

Well the thing is that I would have to spend the night in London. Not that I mind, especially since I have never flown on British Airways or the B767...

Yes, flying from there is always so much cheaper but once I return back to the island the police at the border crossing will be suspicious why I have spent three months in the TRNC

LOL it's ok... I guess that it's hard to get the tone through the forums

Still thanks for your comments and help. It seems to me that BA and LHR seem like the most obvious choice for me. Especially since the B777 is my favorite airline.

No, not really. Have read that kids posts lately and he always need to tell us how great EK is and how he flies in F to HYD every other week.

I never said every other week, I said 4 or 5 times a year, and I'm sorry for expressing my opinion about my favorite airline. Also, I didn't realize what he meant about the 8,000 euros, bc I'm not very sure exactly how many dollars it was

I don't recommend using the opinion of one member against an airline. UA has been at the top of the on time performance list for the last couple of years for the network airlines in the US.

6. LCA-LHR CY A320/ LHR-LAX on Virgin Atlantic's A340-600.

Probably the best option even if connecting through LHR is never the most desirable option. BA ans VS have pretty good service in economy.

Simple misunderstanding, although you certainly seem to have pretty high standards especially as a young teenager living a pretty extravagant lifestyle.

If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!
