Hello everyone!

Yesterday evening I have been surprised to feel that someone from the Terminal 3 of Prague International Airport (Ruzyne) is using a bandit methods in competition for a parking places near the terminal which can actually kill you... So, this is my story:

January 12, 2012 at 18:00 - me, my wife and my son was departing from Ruzyne Terminal 3 to Larnaca (Cyprus) returning back on 14th of January with a private jet. Because of we have alot of bags and small son in a car, my wife parked a car (black Mercedes S 500) next to the terminal entrance (see plan attached) to an empty parking palce and forget to replace it.

When we come back from Larnaca late evening (approx 23:00), my wife took our car and start to drive from the airport to our home (100 km away from the airport) over a highway. Approximately 5 kilometers far from the airport, on the icing place - our car was spun on the highway, making a full stop across of the road!!! Thanks God the cars driving after us was able to make a full stop before hitting our car.

I removed a car to the edge of the highway and noticed that someone have removed a valve from the left front wheel of our car making tire deflated. The car has a hard winter tires, so my wife was not able to discover that the tire deflated before of this accident...

Thanks God we did not die this night on a highway and come to home in the morning with our small son!!! Later while discussing the situation with our friends I have been noticed that we parked our car on the place of the top management of the terminal and this is why the valve have been removed from the car's wheel, and my friends said - "do not be surprised, this is normal, they are always doing like this!!!"...

I do not know, who did this with our car, but I have a questions to the top management of the terminal: Is it really normal when your car become damaged up to the conditions which can kill you just because of you parked your car to the terminal employee's (management's) place???? Why not just follow a legal way - call police and evacuate a car??? And last - are you sure that it is not dangerous to fly a private aircrafts from/to this terminal???

I do not know what do you think about this situation, but I decided never use this terminal anymore - I do not want to be killed just because of someone competing for a parking place or for a client.

P.S. Praha Ruzyne Terminal 3 - is a General Aviatioan Terminal - for private and chartered flights, e.g. Executive Terminal with VIP services: http://www.prg.aero/en/passenger-services/vip-service/terminal-3/

File a complaint with the police and the airport. This is hardly an appropriate forum.

I have no clue why the original thread got deleted rather than moved here, so I'll have to write this again:

You have absolutely no proof that anybody from the management sabotaged your car. Unless you take the fingerprints or acquire the parking lot's CCTV tapes, you have no right to claim the management did this to your car. It is purely your speculation yet you make it sound like the management routinely does this to every car. This is your imagination and fantasy.

Your doing yourself no favours posting accusations of attempted murder against airport mangment on a Internet forum. It seems you also only joined just to post this thread!! Airliners is not here for this kind of post...

OMG, what a weird post!! Are you even Czech? Hardly think so...

What you just did here do it to the police. Nobody here can/will help you. Don´t understand why are you saying this to us...

Plus you are making very hard accusations here! You probably don´t even realize this!

Report it to the police. Period.

Looks as they may have been reserved spots. Consider, if you had parked in someones reserved spot here in the USA, your car would/could have been impounded, costing you alot of money to get it back from the towing company. Gratefully it was only a flat tire and no one was hurt.

The same would happen in the Czech Republic. Nobody flats your tires instead of towing your car. Absolute non-sense. That is why I am assuming the person is not Czech, because a Czech would know that!!!
I might have been a bad joke (no excuse for that whatsoever) or just an accident/concidence.

Just contact the police!

Ps: As an ex-PRG airport employee and totally dissagree with these accusations, as I used to park myself infront Terminal 3 and had no problems and all, never heard of any similar case.

Yes, I'm not Czech, and ofcourse I did not know that this place belongs to the someone from management of the terminal and ofcourse I did not know that my tire will be deflated for this. And ofcourse I did not know that these people so stupid to do such a things with their clients who is paying money to them for use of the terminal and for the aircraft handling.

Yes, we made a report to the police, and why I'm writing here - is just to let you know that such kind of nonsense can happen in Terminal 3 of Ruzyne Airport... I do not know, what can happen with the aircraft of someone who will serve a client which previously was served by some company where these people have some interest.... As per myself, I'm seriously afraid these people and will not use this terminal anymore.

As I told you, I used to work for Prague airport, I parked in front of Terminal 3 myself and NEVER heard of something like this happening.

You can use Letňany airport or if you want guaranteed "safety" fly from DRS next time. Bet these things don´t happen there.

Alternative could be to just pay a few CZK and have someone park & look after your car in safety while the OP is away. If the OP can afford to fly in a private jet and to drive a S500, these few CZK should make no big difference on his budget.

Any potential manipulation to the car's tyre as well might have been caused by some youth roaming the premises during the night. T3 at PRG isn't too busy during the wee hours (to use a rather gross understatement).
I only used it once, and that was for the public airport tour that is on offer there.

Exactly HT! Thanks for noting this out! There is a rooffed and safe parking in front of T1 with a bus going to T3 every 10min or so. A little more expensive, but worth it.

Exactly! Claiming that the managment deflates tires of passangers is BS. They have more important things to do.

Again, why do you accuse the manager or his staff, why would they bother while it would be more effective to clam or tow your car out, maybe it are just some teenagers who hang around the parking lots looking for spare parts.

nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

The terminal is located outside of the city and used for private flights, so there are a lot of better places for teenagers to play their games. Moreover, in order to remove a valve you will need a special instrument which is not available on the wheel itself. Can you imagine a teenager who will go outside of the city to the airport terminal parking next to the terminal entrance to remove one valve from one wheel??? The chance of this - less then 0.0001, but I can imagine another game of old teenagers: you put your car to my place, so I will deflate your tire, idiot, to understand that you idiot put your car to the place where my car should be... More chances of this scenario, is not it???

Again, you need proof, yet for a second time after the original was deleted, and rightly so, you again post accusations of attempted murder against airport managment on a public site on the Internet. What is stopping this airport from sueing you for slander??

One aspect has buggered me.
If the valve had been removed, the tire must have been flat right at the start of the drive home.
Even in case the tire had been of the "run flat"-type, a significant difference in driving (steering) must have been noticed. PRG T3 is about 1 km from the nearest motorway exit with a straight drive and something must have been felt during that time.
If not, it is either that Mercedes Benz has built a car out of this world, or the driver's skills are questionable.

There are a couple of housing estates located between T3 and the (nearest) motorway exit. When using the public bus from PRG to city center usually a few teenagers board / deboard there.

HT, please keep in mind - it was night, my wife was driving a car which actually not her car. Of course she was not able to feel the difference... This is just a situation happened and I actually do not know who did it, but I'm seriously afraid to use this terminal anymore... Yes, it might be some teenager and it might be someone who has a mental problems and power in this Terminal. Just a situation happened and I think that it should be reported, what I actually did.

Now this is very well understandable.
Some alternatives to either using PRG T3 at all, or to park directly at PRG T3 had been mentioned in replies 9, 10 and 11.
For a modest amount of CZK also a taxi ride from T1/T2's parking garage to T3 (and v/v) could be an option.

I am really tired of you accusing the airport management of such nonsense. I just sent them a link to this thread so they can read by themselves the accusations. You know, in CZE its illegal to falsely accuse someone. If they find it appropiate, they might sue you.

You hope you called the cops after the accident, because the pictures you present, ale definitely not from the highway. You could´v easily deflated your tires at home.

Yes, photos was made not on the highway - it is from the parking to where I removed a car from the highway.
