Hi guys,

I'll be arriving in MUC on 28th Jan from DPS on SQ.
I must meet my partners in MUC airport, coming from MRS on LH at 8:05 AM.

Questions :

1/ As I arrive at 5:10 AM, can I go to an arrival lounge in T2 to wait for my friends ? (I'm Star GOLD)

2/ Can I meet my partners in the international zone ? like just out of their plane ?

3/ Where is an easy meeting point to meet them in T2 ?

Thanks for your help

Enzo

I should add that MUC is my final destination, and that my *G status is with SQ

I'm not sure about the lounge. Generally this is not possible, as you will need to show the boarding pass, however in FRA there is a lounge specially for this effect, which is the Welcome Lounge, and maybe they have something similar in MUC. You should check the Lounge Directory on the miles&more website.

You can't meet your friends in the international zone, as they will arrive from a Schengen flight and have no access to the international zone without a valid boarding pass. You may not go the Schengen airside zone as well, since after your arrival with SQ you will go landside and then need to go back airside a level down to the Schengen area. This would be the normal way if you are having a Schengen connecting flight. But without the onward boarding pass they wont let you through and therefore you can't pick them up at their gate.

Therefore you will need to meet landside. The most logical would be arrivals area (it's a common one for Schengen and non Schengen). Just wait behind the sliding doors landside and they will come out sooner or later. Can't miss them. I'm quite sure there is a meeting point in the arrivals area, too.

Thanks Reifel for your tips,

So, if I cannot go to a lounge, since it will be freezing cold outside, where do you suggest I should wait between 5 and 8 AM ?

I checked MUC airport website, but I couldn't find any info on that.

1/ NO - After your flight enjoy the free stay in our lounges. If you land in Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldorf or New York (JFK) with a First or Business Class ticket after a Lufthansa operated long-haul night flight you can freshen up or prepare for the business day ahead in one of our lounges.
2/NO - as you will arrive NON-Schengen.
3/Arrival hall

Well, there are some bakeries araound where you can sit nicely and drink coffee, also at the Airport Centre right accross Terminal 2of LH! You just have to cross the square.

Actually, if you don't have checked bags, you can stay airside in the non-Schengen area. You can't visit the lounges in the terminal, since you don't have a boarding pass, but you can use the normal shops and cafes. You can then leave this area and proceed to the arrivals hall once your parents have landed and then meet them in the arrivals hall.

Thanks guys.
I have checked bags, so I guess I cannot stay too long airside.
Guess I'll go to that "Airport Center" then.
What's in there ? Any seating area ?

The Airport Center is like a small shopping mall. There are a bunch of shops, cafes and restaurants. I'm sure you'll find a place to sit down and have some coffee or something. There's also a viewing terrace on top of terminal of the LH Terminal, but I doubt it's open at that early hour.
