Anyone have any idea about connecting from Delta to United at NRT? I'm flying non-rev and will very likely need to switch between airlines. Do you have to clear security? Transit times between T1 North and T1 South?

Not familiar with Narita-- any info you have would be appreciated!

Thank You!

It will be rather simple as they are both located in the same terminal albeit different wings.

Follow the signs to transit, clear security, and then you will be back in the boarding area. Walk towards whatever gates United is using and voila. UA have a customer service center located across from their Red Carpet Club where if you need to check-in or ask about your flights you can.

Time wise - the potential hold up will be security - if a bunch of flights all arrived at once with a few hundred connecting passengers the wait can be a bit, but otherwise should take not much longer than you being able to walk the length of the terminal complex.

Thank YOU, LAXintl!

Follow signs to transit and clear security... but how do I clear security if I don't have a Departure Management card? Or does everyone clear security and they don't check documents? If I'm able to connect Delta to Delta, will I still be clearing security?

You have no idea how much I appreciate your help!!

Well then do what I had to -- show my ID.... They do check boarding passes, however I've gotten past by explaining that I was jumpseating at the time.

And yes DL to DL connex also must clear security. The only choices are either immigration to enter Japan, or transit where all passengers are security screened.

Enjoy your trip !

You can get a DL Boarding Pass from any of their check-in counters in the US before you leave. This should enable you to clear security.
